Red face Boost Bypass Valve....

I got a JL chip the other day but 1st to 2nd still didnt feel right. So I unplugged the valve that cuts the boost off in 4 cylinders when the truck shifts, what a difference, the truck now barks 2nd and shifts so much better. Do I need to bypass that somehow or leave it unplugged? Not sure if it will send a code the the computer. Any Info will greatly help!!

Is this the Boost BiPass everyone is talking about?

If so I did it on mine and have had no problems, even in 93 degree weather.

Im pretty sure the bypass valve doesn't open on the 1-2 shift, it's a fuel/spark change to reduce torque at the time of shifting. The bypass is there to prevent "overboost". Whenever it reaches a setpoint the valve opens to bleed off the high pressure. The truck will run worse than a N/A engine when this happens. It's a built-in safety feature. Some guys unplug it when at the track since they want as much boost as possible (within reason).
