What can I get for my 2000 L wheels, they are in very good shape with good tires? I am thinking about getting new wheels but don't know if I want to lay down the cash.

There have been a couple of posts about this recently. I eneded up buying new wheels at tirerack.com a couple of months ago for $209 each. Based on this, and what used wheels were going for, you should be able to get about $900 for 4 wheels and tires - Maybe more if you are patient. Check this classified section, and NLOC.org classifieds. Tom

 

Thanks, were those for Ford wheels or were they made by another company?

I think that 900 is a little expensive for used wheels ive seen on www.downsford.com they are selling a set of new lightning rims for 800 bucks. Are these rims chrome?? I paid 900 plus traded in my stock rims for a set of chrome rims. Which was great because ive seen the chrome rims go for as much 350 a rim on the online store on here.

What kind of rims and what size are you planning on going with? I'm thinking about buying a different style 22" rim, I get bored with the same look, I think it's time to get a new look..

My estimate of $900 was for 4 wheels and 4 good tires. I figure about $500 for 4 rims and about $100 for each used tire. When I was looking, the best deal I found for used rims only was $500.

John893 - those were Ford SVT Lightning wheels. The good part for me was because I ordered 4 rims and 4 race tires from tirerack, they mounted and balanced them for free before shipping them to me.
