Question Silver-Bolt, Hotchkis question...

I finally installed the Hotchkis sway bars yesterday and could not (for the life of me) figure out the brake line spacer. After rereading the instructions twice, I figured out that the exhaust hanger removal was in referrence to rear exiting exhaust on F150's. Is this the same situation for this brake line spacer, because I didn't need/use it at all. One more Q; which grease to use on the zerk fittings when the time comes?

As for the rest of installation, everything is excellent! I can't believe the quality of the parts and the ride improvement. My silver bolt rides like she's on rails now. IMHO, THIS IS THE SUSPENSION THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE USED ON THE LIGHTNING, ORIGINALLY! Sorry for yelling. I can't tell you how happy I am with this Hotchkis suspension on my '01 L.

I di not use the brake line spacer either. I think that like the exhaust bracket is for the standard F-150's. Not sure about the grease. I will check their recomendations.

I agree 100% with the quality of parts, ride, and handling. The way it should be stock. Even had about 500lbs in the back of mine this past weekend. Smooth as silk and no bottoming.

I am glad that I took the extra time to do the front bushings as well. At the time I wasn't sure the time, effort, and dollars was worth it. It was. No squeaks, rattles, or any another adverse side effects.

That's what I was hoping for. Thanks, Silver-Bolt. I read your post on the install notes and that was a very good write up, btw. I was glad to read that this suspension was a 28 lb. weight savings over stock. Every little bit helps! Now i just need to get Herb's washers and it will be complete.

Glad to help. I always try and post my results. Both good and bad. I appreciate the help of others on the board so I like to "pay back" whenever I can. I did Herb's washers at the same time. Surprisingly I had no signs of movement. Now I know it cannot move.

After about 400 miles on the Bilsteins they seem to be settling in nicely.

Just a couple more "minor" handling mods and it should be done. Still need to do the pan hard bar, brake upgrade, and wheel/tire upgrade.
