Talking Raced a trans am tonight...

Well i was coming home from labor day weekend when this brand new trans am pulls up behind me and flashes his lights....Then he pulls around me and slams on his brakes, so I know its on. We proceed to weave through traffic like madmen till we get to an empty stretch of freeway...we slow down to about 50mph and hit it!! My L jumped out about 2 car lengths ahead and kept pulling away till i got to about 125 then the trans am started catching up fast...well he never got to pass me because we hit traffic again but let me tell you how suprised the guy was that a lightning could just walk away from his car like that....The look on the guy's face was PRICELESS!! I really love this truck now, this is basically my first time racing anyone in it, and damn was it fun! Oh and maybe the suprising thing is that my Lightning right now is TOTALLY stock.... NO mods whatsoever on it yet... Im hoping that when i get around to putting in a chipnfilter in it will pull even harder....I was also wondering if it will help it in the 125mph range because the L seems to run out of juice around then....Anyways i just wanted to post this because i was excited as hell, haha....later

I ran a 2000 T/A WS6 last Fri at the track. He's a friend so we had a good time of it. He had just finished installing(by himself) a turbo and intercooler. This was his first chance to test-n-tune--said it was "layin' down at the top-end" on his way to the track. We lined up and launched(him on street tires, me on ET streets). I 'moved', he spun--had him 'til about the 1,000' mark, and then he reeled me in at the 1/4. He ran a 13.202@108.16 and I ran a 13.280@103.92. We both agreed, it was the best race of the nite! Dan
