Question Another "X" plan question...

Ok, for those of you who have used an "X" plan. I just found a local dealer that accepts them and is going to take mine for a 2002 "L".
They say they are pretty sure they are for sure making them...
OK, what I would like to know is, is there an experation date on the actual member number you use?
The sales person seemed to think there was a time limit on them?

Thanks for any input, and hopefully I will not keep asking about the X-plan...!

Yeah there is.But you won't call for a pin # untill your truck is here,or almost here. From what I know prolly Mar of '02.Yesterday I sponsored my bro-in-law for a new ranger with a "d" plan.Called this A.M. & got a PIN# no problem. But I have dealt with customers who's number expired or backed out of a sale @ another dlr and it's hell to straighten out!

Well I wound up going to Berge Ford in Mesa, but be careful!
The sales guy I am working with is a family member of one of my wifes Coworkers (if that makes any sense?)
He was letting us know, it just depends on the sales day as to whether they will honor it!

If it is busy, it may be difficult and they may deny it,
if it slow, they may be willing to do it.

It just depends on thier, well, mood that day.

Kinda sucks, but good luck to you if you go in...!

I have seen in the past that Berge seems to be pretty unknowledgable when it comes to SVT vehicles!

BTW, Daver716, thanks for the heads up! I will make sure that I let the sales person know, which I'm sure he probably does...

/Keeping fingers crossed this all works out...

actually i'm not too sure about running out of time. bought my girlfriends truck and was told by the ford people that my previous pin was still out there. (had gotten pin 6 mo prior to actually buying). not only had it not expired but all i did to clear it up was tell them to delete it. no probs with that at all.
she said the only prob i could have had would have been not being able to purchase a second vehicle due to number of pins already used in a year. no longer a worry now that it was deleted.
