Talking AWESOME Experience at dealer

took truck in to dealer this morning for recall 01s24 and for the i/c Fix. previously was told no loaner for first 24 hours, got a loaner this morning as soon as i droped off, also told would get a call at 4pm for an update, got a call at 3:31 with not only an update but the most wonderful service manager MATT saying truck is DONE.....i say what, yep, done. confirmed i/c part number with him and it is the updated one, all parts in stock and also recall completed, wow very cool, drive home not to long ago and truck has a new spring in its step, or it just likes being off the coolant diet and a fresh oil free intercooler to breath through..now off to send a good letter for matt and to svt giving props to the dealer..

only thing, which is small, had a small scratch on the firewall behind the upperintake and some oil reside from some dirty hands and or clothes in my front facia and grill, i guess i can live with that..

later
jim

i wen to jerome duncan, its on van dyke just south of 18 mile on the west side, matt hall, helped me, he was a tech till about 4 months ago, how hes the service manager, he said he worked on a couple l's when he was a tech so i figured i was in good hands, he also pulled out some pictures of a 5.2 dakota, with a mystic type paint on it, he said this color had more colors in it, i was inquiring how a ford boy could go to the dark side so easily but left that one alone since he did finish my truck so handly..hope i didnt take the last i/c for all thats going there..

That's good to hear that you had a good experience with your dealer. I've found one that works for me here in the LA area, and have had nothing but good experiences. They also do not hassle you about any mods.
When I took my truck in for IC repair, I left the chip in. No Problem.

dealer in LA

Jay,

What dealer do you go to in the LA area that does not object to the mods on the truck? That would certainly be worth a little extra driving rather than putting her back to stock if I have to take it in sometime... checking the intercooler frequently, only a matter of time

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

I've been using Ken Grody in Buena Park. I've never taken my truck there w/o mods. In fact, they put the Allen Development blowers on customer trucks and cars.

I openly discuss my mods with my service writer Mike Baek.

What is recall 01S24 all about? I have not seen or heard anything. I have a '99 Lighnting. This Board does not have anything I could find on recalls.

redlite,
Recall 01S24 regards potential intermittent winshield wiper failure. There was a thread on it within the past two days, but I'm too lazy to look for it.

A good Dealer Service area, NO Way. I don't believe it, but hey maybe, there might just be one.
