what do you get with an X-plan

Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly do you get, when you get an X-plan? Is it just a number?

Thanks

The X-plan is intended to be used to persuade would be buyers
by obtaining a lower than normal, but higher than A-plan
price on a new Ford Or Mercury vehicle.
It more often than not is given to vendors, distant relatives, or
friends and neighbors, to persuade them to buy our product verses the competition.
Yes, it is a number obtained by a Ford Employee by calling in the
perspective buyers name and social security number to the plan
administrator. This employee then passes the number along to
the buyer who gives it to the dealer.
It protects the buyer and dealer. Each Ford employee is given 4
X-plans to give away as he or she deems necessary.

or you can just pay $40 bucks and get as many as you want w/out having to ask

Anyone can get it now! You basically get a Lightning for UNDER dealer invoice. W/ bed cover it runs approx. $28,900, which is what I got! Dealer invoice is approx. $29,100.

I've also heard of A- and Z-plans. Anybody ever heard of them? Anybody know how to go about getting them?

A and B plan are for employees only. X plan is the only one for friends, etc.

Another good use for X-plan.... It keeps the dealers for marking up costs to some inflated price....

Question Hey BFB...

So is this definitely good on a Lightning...? I read where it says, specific vehicles, and would think this applies to Taurus's or something mainstream...
If I pay the $40.00, get a PIN, and call the dealer with the info., on a 2002 "L", it will be perfect?

No hidden catches or anything?
It would be great to get a brand new one for less then my slightly used 2000, I just purchased...!

Thanks for any tips or help!
I would just think people would abuse this feature...?

Its the dealers' decision if they want to sell one at X-plan. I along with countless others have bought theirs this way....Good luck

It is at the dealers discretion whether or not he wants to give A/X plans....they don't have to if they don't want to.

That said...with the volumes piling up...they are more likely now more than ever to do it.

easter...u can stop being an a$$ now....when are you going to grow up?

i dont offer any special plans....just saw a price in the window or a truck as I drove by.

get a life man.

you sure know how to win freinds in a new place.

We use the A-Plan, is it the same thing as far as price reduction as the X-Plan?

Nope...A-plan is for employees and their immediate family...

it is about 4% better than X-plan

95 Saleen S351, I come here to help and learn. You posted,"They are selling brand new here for about $27,000! Without any plans." I received no reply when I asked where. I was forced into a heated arguement with you, and you still have not posted where to get the $27K Lightning. I call things as I see them. I am grown up and would apolagize if I was proven wrong. You on the other hand owe me an apolagy for your B.S. Here is the link read it again. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...5&pagenumber=1

You insult me...before I even get a chance to simply reply to you...You didn't get a reply..cause I didn't see your post...do you not understand this?

You start calling random people liars...then expect them to help you...do you not see something wrong with this?

BTW...relisting the post doesn't add to your credibility..it simply shows that u said that I was full of bull***** before I ever even read what you posted.

I can't even IMAGINE how you think I owe YOU an apology

I have been on this board a LOT longer than you...and have NEVER posted BS...and never have had any reason to.

What you did would be like me...randomly calling something someone like say....Johnny Lightning...said as BS ...just because he didnt immediately respond to some message i left him in a burried post.
He has a lot more time and experiance here...so I have the TACT to not start randomly insulting people off the bat because they didn't appease me.

nuf said....

You have seen the post. Several days have gone by. You can't buy a '01 L for $27K without any plans. You lied, and what is worse you try to cover a lie. nuf said.
