whatever you say easter...whatever you say...

i mentioned a NUMBER of times as to why I will NOT post the dealer now...if u want to make up other reasons in your head...and delude urself...thats fine. I still think its funny that you expect me to help you..and if I don't then Im a liar.

you lied....nuf said.

I wonder if this kinda BS is why a bunch of you old timers aren't on this board much anymore.....I heard about this stuff...but now I get to see if first hand....we used to have a great freindly community in here..and lately its just turned to this kind of stuff...newbies come in and start calling everyone liars..without any knowledge.

is that what happened to Spiro...he just got fed up with all of this crap? what about all you other guys...the originals...you know who you are...that have dissappeared recently?

Of course I am not saying that all the newbies are bad...I was one once too but I would not have pulled a stunt like this...and it seems like this stuff is happening more and more lately...or maybe I'm just getting old.

I've only been posting for about 5 months. Does that mean I'm not entitled to post my opinion? I hopefully have helped many people on this board, and likewise have also been the receipient of usefull information. If you want to call me a "newbie" that is fine. First of all you post that '01 lightnings can be purchased for $27K without any plans. I thought to myself, wow that is an awesome price I have never heard of anyone getting near that price for a '01 without using an A plan. I posted asking you where. I assume that one cannot just go to any dealer to get that price, because without any plan I paid $30,087 for mine(before I knew anything about xplans-about $28800 from what I have heard). You didn't answer. I then called your post BS. You then decide to call me names. I called you a liar. You continue to refuse to post where the $27K lightning w/o any plans is to be purchased. This sums it up. My father is still looking for a new '01 Lightning and will travel. He currently has a '99.

Please take your "Plan " argument off line. It is no longer for the general members it has become a flame war between you 2.

I have a close friend who owns a dealership. Gene Hebenstreit, owner of Victory Lane Ford in Litchfield. It's not an SVT dealer though.

It there a way I could use his "A-plan" to get a Lightning? I guess I could ask him to buy one and then turn around and sell it to me. But that might be a hassle.

Hi David

I doubt that he can do that since A-plan is less than what the dealership paid and Ford makes up the difference. Best bet is to pay 40 bucks and get the X-plan if you can't get an A-plan from a relative. Or your friend can always take a loss on the L....

Sure can, just ask him to locate you one and buy it. It's as simple as that! I'm sure he has ties to other dealers.

I sent him an email asking if he could make me an employee (no pay, no benefits, etc...). The A-plan is for Ford dealership employees, too, right?

BTW, I can get the X-plan through my company. But if I can get the A-plan, that's even better.

A-plan is for Ford employees only. Dealerships have what they call a D-plan which is the same thing, though.

Question

OK, we've got A-, D- and X-plans. I've also heard of Z-plans. What are they?

Found out from my friend that the D-plan can only be used at the dealership you work at.

lyonsd--The Z-plan is the same as the A-plan only it is used by retired Ford employees and the A-plan is used by active Ford employees---Jim
