How do they stand up to the Lightning? Are they fast? I personally like the idea of a big block for those of you who like to drag race. Lots o torque I am sure. I tend to feel like shelby though...didn't like to add the big block to his road racer due to added weight. More cubes for us would also be nice.

 

If it's stock, its a big old slow pig compared to the L, a Gen 1 stock would give it a run, a Gen II would waste it handily. But there aren't a whole lot of "stock" 454 SS's around. Might be careful who you run against

 

The only Chevy trucks from the factory that are dangerous to us are the prototype, will never hit production trucks. Except the older Ty/Sy's.

I went to the '01 sport truck shootout in B.G. KY Aug.4. There were about 25-30 Chevy 454ss there(this was sponsered by the 454ss club). Only one was getting under 14 sec for 1/4 mile, and he was doing 12.55. Most were in the 15 sec range.
