'01 Bolt in Autoweek
Just got around to looking at my 08/20/01 Autoweek and guess what's in the middle. That's right, a '01 Bolt. (Red of course)
Haven't read the article yet just wanted to let others know.
The article is titled White-Hot, SVT's Lightning Bolts with More Power.
Time to read now, bye, bye..

chipper and clonetek, nice to see some other dog lovers here.
We have a 9 year old small fiest (derived from Chihuahua and terrier). Dogs really are man's best friend and a gift from GOD.

Don't know what I'm going to do when these fella's pass on to hound heaven.
Daisey is a great name. If we bought a girl we were going to call her Daisey. That's our favorite name for a girl dog.
I guess to get back on topic,
The autoweek folks said they could only muster a 6.04 0-60 and a 14.51 @97.9 in the quarter with their '01. But it only had 853 miles on it so they said the engine was still green, plus track conditions. They averaged 12.8 mpg too.
They interviewed some owners who had a few of the same complaints as some of you. One guy complained about his drivers seat not being comforable.
Another guy said, "This is, plain and simple, a hot rod. Don't tell my wife, though."
Short but good article.

Ahhh...the Basset Hounds. I "inherited" one when my wife and I got married (a 5 year old female named Hannah) and we recently adopted one from the AZ Basset Hound Rescue (he's a 2-3 year old male named Charlie although he's pretty much known as Chuck around the house...was on the kill list at a shelter in Tucson when the Rescue got him). They compliment our other dogs which include a 6 year old Rottweiler named Max, a 5 year old Golden Retriever named Spyke (from the cow-lick in the middle of his head) and an almost 7 year old Neopolitan Mastiff named Sasha (who is blind, deaf, dumb, drools and hunkers down on our patio all day..but you've gotta love her - although the wife tries not to).

I, too, am a fellow Bassett owner. Her name is Bailey, after Bailey's Irish Cream (good drink, great dog!) She is red/white and 22 months old. I got her as a pup, for Christmas '99. My bro', Jim, purchased the lil' beauty (53 lbs.) for me!!!! We just graduated from "dog school" taught by the local K-9 cops. They said Bassetts are harder to train due to their incredible sense of smell. I thought that she was just deaf!!!
Bassetts and Lightnings, PERFECT TOGETHER!!!

Man, you guys should post some pics of your dogs with your Bolts!
This is great to see so many dog lover stories!
Struck in AZ,
Great job on the rescue. Hate to see one of these fellas get put down due to no love.
You can't help but love Bassett's. Hell, all dogs for that matter.
