If it still has an 88mm MAF, you want to change to the 01 size, 90mm. Will require new intake filter kit and a 'chip' tuned for the increased breathing capabilities.

I also have a 99 Lightning and with just a Johnny Lightning Chip and Ram Air dipped in to the 12's. I would start off with a ram air, then get a chip and pulley at the same time.

CHIP AND FILTER is first thing to do. About $450 to 500 bucks.

Then get a lower pulley from sombody. $250 to 300 bucks.

Then get an electric Fan kit. $200 to 400 bucks.

Then get some slicks and run in the 12's all day long! PRICELESS!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Had to do that!

10 to 15 hp
less drag on the motor which means quicker acceleration and faster rev's.

And also it comes in handy when you want to cool off in the pits. works really good.
