Lug Nut Torque Spec?
Sorry for bringing up old stuff, but most of the old threads are not searchable anymore...
Anyway, can someone remind me what is the torque spec for the lug nuts on a Gen II? TIA.

I've been running my 00' at 120 lbs. and have had no problems. If you get stuck changing a tire in the side of the road, and have only the wrench that comes with the jack, you will regret the 150 lbs spec.

I agree....
but I think he wanted the 'book' answer. I only torque mine to 110 ft/lbs.

Thanks Guys! Yes, I was looking for the "official" torque spec. It still boggles the mind that Ford apparently believes the average person can loosen lug nuts torqued to 150 ft/lb with the little stubby lug wrench they throw in the truck...
Maybe some of you guys should hit the gym more often.
Seriously, a friend of mine with 2001 Lighnting recently broke a lug off when installing wheel locks. He was using a torque wrench set at 150lb.
Dealer fixed under warranty. Apparently, it takes something like four hours to replace the broken lug.

Isn't changing tires beside the road what roadside assistance is for
? Seriously though, I torque mine to 150 ft lbs and I have no problem breaking them loose at the track with a 12 inch 4 way and I am by no means a body builder.
