A couple of guys I know just run 5 1/2 quarts of oil instead
of the 6 and it seems to take care of it.

BTW..Did your TB have Lightning on the top of it or was it plain?

Don't be fooled add the 6 quarts of oil according to the book. If you really want to stop the oil build-up in the throttle body get an open element breather filter cap along with a chip to keep from going lean.

Call Jim@JDM Engineering: (732)-780-0770 for more details.

damn, jarmstro, you beat me to it!!! Yeah, what he said, get yourself an oil breather cap. What supposeably happens is when you are at WOT and then let off of the gas the vac draws the oil up through the intake and builds up on the T/B and boot. Its normal!!! I don't buy the idea of using less oil because Ford built these engines and they have a spec for a reason. Just my .02

Ford does build these engines to a spec. and they program them to a spec too. But we all put chips in them don't we. Isn't that changing a SPEC.? I never said it wasn't normal, just that some have noticed done this and it worked. JUST A SUGGESTION!!! I can't see how half a quart is really going to hurt anything. Any suggestions on that?!

Hey thanks for the info!! Where i live my truck is driven very fast (for as long as poss.) So sometimes i have to get on the brakes hard and the throttle is shut, sometimes from over 4000 rpm's, so if it can't get normal air i suppose it will take it from the crankcase,,, again thank you all!!

I bet your plugs were gapped @ .0420 and .0520. I don't think they were gapped @ close to 1/2 inch (.520 and .420)! Could have caused a miss. LOL
