Just got a Johnny Lightning Dyno Tune !!

What a cool place! Those guys there at JLP are awesome! Really cool cars Johnny ownes in the office/showroom. He personally took the time to answer any questions, and to educate me on thing I needed to know being fairly new at all this! cost was a little over 700 bucks for the Dyno and tuner, but also gained some priceless knowledge. Thanks to Johnny and Justin at JLP! Truck runs Awesome ! So far its running at 386 RWH and 468 TQ...Quite happy with that. Its a 2001, I am running Dynatech Long tube headers, with full Bassanni cat back with X pipe, a Acufab single blade T/B, a 6 lb pulley with 13 lbs max boost, a JLP air box, It has JLP long bar traction bars, not too shabby for a newbie!

Not to be a 'deek' but those numbers sound low for the mods...typically mods like that will get you into what was once referred to as the '400(hp)/500(tq) Club'. That has got to be a really safe tune.

well not sure as I am new to this..I told him I use the truck to tow a small crabbing boat a lot, about 2000 lbs...and my O2 sensors were broken, one not working and the other side wire was cut..so it seens to be rich due to that issue, I am gonna get those fixed this week, should I get it re tuned after that? looking for opinions of course, Thanks.its a stock ford re-man in 2006 block, so dont want to get too radical with it, i guess...

I say get it retuned. Your O2s play a big part in the tune.

Excuse me??? I am a new truck owner, and was unaware of the of sensor problems until JOHN told me about them after he looked under there.and did the DTC scan...he tuned it anyway, and said to get the sensors fixed and I will get better gas mileage..thats all I heard.. I wasted nobodys time by forking over 750.00 and an hour drive so screw your "Pitty" on my truck

With pretty much the same mods on my old Lightning I was at 401/498 12 degrees timing and 14psi in 90 degree Florida heat. So I would say the o2's are hurting it and or Johnny put a super safe tune in. Either way, enjoy the new truck.
