Question trans part # ?

Does anybody know the part number for a new in the crate L trans. I'm thinking of ordering one from the dealer that I get my parts from but they don't even know what an L is so I figure it will just be easier to ask for the part number. Otherwise this parts man will probably order me a trans for a focus or something. Thanks.

A model year 2000 L tranny is YL3P-7000-CA, The 2000 is compatible with the 99s and the 01s and is the best of the three model years to get. Umm, may have to change the solenoid on a 99, don't think so but maybe. I'll check. Definitely will go into a 2001, though.

Thanx factory tech. I guess I will go ahead and let the bag out of the cat...considering taking the LT1 out of my work truck-a 94 Chevy full size-and putting in the L engine and tranny. I will take some measurements tomorrow to see if it is feasible.
