Don't know if anybody on the board is local to MIR or not, but i am runing tonight if anyone else wants to meet up and run their L's.

MIR is pretty close to where I live. I have never raced there before I might try this fall . What part of southern maryland do you live in?

 

Hey...I'm located in Landover, MD. I'm probably gonna head up to Capital tonite (unless it rains). I've been thinking about trying MIR sometime.....how does it work there on Friday nights?? Is it Test n Tune or what? Do they have eliminations?

Friday night at MIR is called "Midnight Madness". Gates open at 6:30, run what ya brung, type deal. You make timed runs, for testing and tuning until 9 and then the bracket racing begins. All street Cars and trucks until midnight. You will see 20 second pintos, to street strip 7 second nova's. But with bracket racing everyone has a chance.

This is a crappy time of the year to be racing, is it not? You not going to get your best times, if that is what you are interested in.

Went to MIR Friday night. Met up with thunderstruck (Nuno). It rained before they opened the gates up, but it stopped and we had clear skies for about two hours. Wish i could say the track was clear. I don't think the track ever really dried out. Niether Nuno or myself could get our trucks to hook, and he was running slicks. My first run of the night was my best of the night at, 14.14 . I think Nuno's best run was 13.50, but i can't remember. He was spinning really bad off the line, and his 60' times reflected it.


I will be at capital this friday, if anyone is going to be there.
