Probie,

I tried everything to get the Velcro off. Nothing really worked except a whole lot of rubbing and some Varsol. You might try rubbing alcohol.

Now get this: I called Wise Industries to see how much they wanted for a Velcro kit for re-installation. They just asked for my address and sent me the whole kit, everything but the rug, for free. Didn't even charge for shipping. To Canada no less. Awesome company!!

Wait for a HOT day.
Remove the lid and let the bedrug absorb the heat.
The glue on the backside of the velcro will heat up and the strips will come off easily.

Try some Goo Gone. Good stuff. It will easily remove the adhesive that is left behind also. You can get it at most hardware stores.

Took the bedrug off because i traded my 2000 L for a 2001. I took off the velcro because i didnt want to hear any crap from the dealer. The velcro actually came off pretty easy, most of the adhesives came off, the ones that left some marks cleaned up easily.

It was hot as hell out, i guess the heat helped me out. But for the white adhesive peices that stayed on the truck after i removed the velcro, they came right off by just rubbing it with my fingers. Didnt need to use any solvent, just elbow greese.
