Georgia cruises
Dig this, you cats in Georgia: here's a list of groovy Cruise-Ins in N. GA...
I'm going to try to make the ones in boldface this month (unless it rains). And I've been to the ones in italics at least once.
When I was at the one on Indian Trail in Lilburn, some other cats there told me that the biggest one in the area usually occurs at the one at the Outlet Mall on Hwy 400 in Dawsonville. The Indian Trail one wasn't that great, but maybe it was just a slow night. But the Hot Rod Cafe one in Woodstock is usually decent; I've been to it 3 or 4 times.
Every now and then there's a car show or something going on in Oakwood at the Gainesville College or in the Sam's parking lot. Anybody got any schedules for other events in the area?

The cruise-in in Dawsonville is pretty nice. Parking becomes a problem if you get there after 5pm. The cruise-in is actually in the Ingles parking lot off of 400--just past the Outlet Mall. I am usually there every month, but I don't know if I will make it this time, if I do it will probably be late. My truck was the only Lightning in the show last month, so it will be nice to have a few more show up.

Macon, Ga.
Told there is a cruise every first Sat(6-10pm) at Lowes parking lot on Zebulon Rd. He said about 100 cars, etc. there last Sat. I won't be going because Fri. nite is drag strip time. Yes, i'm married--for over 36 yrs.

What about street races?
There weren't any turbo Regals there, yet there are many older muscle cars, a few Vipers (both R/T and GTS), and Shelby Cobras and GT Stangs. GSP is usually there because of the street races on 400 and the burnouts.
So far there have been no ricers or imports at the cruise-in. They might start showing up, yet usually all of the ricers go cruise Gainesville on Sat. nights.

I believe it goes year-round, but I'm not sure. I started going back in March so it is still a farily new cruise-in to me. It will be nice to have a larger Lightning turn out though--there aren't very many around my area.
Well, the cruise at Arby's in Buford was non-existent.
I showed up about 6:50 and there was a black '99 Lightning in the log. I went in to Arby's to see if anybody in there was on crutches. Nope. But the owner of that Lightning talked for a while, and another Lightning showed up. A white '01.
Later, a cat in a 11-second totally stock looking '86 GN showed up and that was it - a 4-vehicle cruise-in!
So scratch "3rd Saturday night at Arby's in Buford" off the list.
