Not that easy in Jersey, we only have a handfull that we could use. This is of the top of my head:
NJ Manufactures - very hard to get
Prudential
State Farm - rumor has it their dropping NJ
Ohio propery/casual

Hey Gator I know we have a few more, I think?

NJ manufactor is the way to go in this state, but you have to have an in, they just will not write a policy. Guess I'll spend a little OT money on insurance, damn the price of my lowering kit will be insuraning two cars for a year. BTW capt, got the Lightning HU and changer in the 75 LTD and it's amazing how good it sounds in the old car! Well off to work, think I'll drive the Lightning today, the a/c works alot better. Hope we hit 100 again today, makes the Bud taste better

My Buddie that just traded his 99 white for a 2001 red and has
AIG insurance to said that his insurance went up alot now because they see that truck as almost a sports car. He pays more on the lightning then he does on his sons 2001 GT. I also heard from my buddie that now AIG is gonna be pulling a State Farm and dropping jersey to. Jersey insurance sure does suck

Fast - glad you go it in okay. I ordered the Hotchkis springs for front and rear. Not sure yet when they will be in. But I'll let you know as soon as I get them installed.

NJ INSURANCE SUCKS

Policy Blues???

Sorry the "L" owners are gettin' the shaft w/the INS guys. It sucks to have the Hi Po Rates. I had the same problem with my Ex's V8 Firebird.

On a better note, for ME that is. I received my 6 month INS renewel yesterday, and saw I just received a $1.61 discount per 6 months, for my '01 F-150 Super Cab having a higher than average safety record.

Take That... TOY owners...

You should all feel lucky what you pay for insurance!! For my 1996 V-6 Firebird, i pay $360 per month!! I got a quote for a lightning, and it was $410 per month. But i cannot wait until December when my two tickets are off of my record. That is when i will buy my (hopefully 2002) new Lightning.

p.s. I am only 18!!!

Quit Bitching!! Can anyone top this?

My insurance on my 2001 was $660.60 for six months. Before I turned 25. My agent says that it will probably go UP because I will be losing some discounts. I thought at 25 insurance was supposed to go down?!?!

I called AIG and they had no idea why my rates went up.

I had AIG also, about 6 months ago, until they jacked up my rates like 63%. They claimed it to be their credit rating they used. They said they inquired for the period from now back to when I started using them. My credit has ZERO flaws in it, especially for the short 2 year period I had them. I found another co. through a Ford program for employees that was only a few dollors more than I was paying before, and it's taken out of my check weekly.

Geico won't ensure us in NJ. Read my above post, we only may have a few other companies at most that will insure us.

Anyone who's eligible for membership should check out USAA. I usually shop rates about once a year, and no other insurance company can ever come close to beating USAA. I think they know what the L. is based on the VIN, but it shows up on my policy as a "Lighting".
