Paging Lowner.....
Got to the track anyway last nite. The fishin' trip got cut short due to the lack of interest of the big ones.
Slow nite--only got 5 passes in--track is going to stay open from 6 -11pm rest of summer if they get 100 or more vehicles--see my thread "Steve's going....." for times and stuff.
Catch you later.

Son-of-a-gun. Her Highness asked me yesterday afternoon if I was going to the track. I said no because the guy I would hook up with was going fishing. And now you type that you were there.
I read your other post. COOL. But I can't believe your drove there and back on those slicks.

Hey! They're DOT legal(hahahaha). No rain---No problem.
Sorry, I should have called you--next Fri.?
Btw, lot of people, young & older, came by to look at my L and ask questions. One 15(?) yr. old kid (he seemed to know more about eng., s/c, turbos, trans., etc. than probably 50% of the people there) kept trying to convince me my L needed headers. I mentioned that these engs. apparently need some/more back pressure. A guy about my age (an air flow engineer from Robins AFB) that was also in on the conversation, agreed with me(does that mean the AF is in trouble?).
Another young(30's--egineer at Robins, too) guy who I've become friends with before, wanted to know all about the 'oil breather cap'--did it work? It seems his LSI Camaro has oil/throttle body/intake concerns too. He said he's having to add a quart every 2,000 miles or so.
Three older guys stopped by and asked me if I had got my new tires at Big T's? "Yes". He said to stop by and say "hello" and watch me run.
Nice people....

Lowner:
Can remember only two. First time, Master Loggie(logisticion at Robins AFB) took his red 99/00(?) but ran poorly(14.xx) because he had installed a larger dia. (315x?x18) street tire. Said he won't return 'til he gets some smaller dia. rear tires--he also is waiting for a lower pulley.
There was a black new 01 there a couple of wks. ago. He ran badly also--because of a sensor problem(?)--self-induced when he changed his air fillter--wouldn't shift?
So, come on down. I need help holdin' up the flag!
