Arrow Vmp 7/28

Hello everyone, We had a good day at the track today, well......some of us did!!! Brian K, congrads again on you 12.53. VMP wasn't doing good for me today, I spun on both of my runs. The first onewas real bad, I ran a 14.97 The truck got squirrely on me at the start and it felt like I was going sideways the whole way down. It was the worst traction I have ever felt and I am sure everybody would agree. It seemed to me that the only people that were hooking good were the ones with E/Ts. The test and tune and race elims got rained out at 2:30 and not to mention that was the longest time I have ever spent in the staging lanes . I said the day was good because over 16 Ls showed up for the event and we just had a good time talking havin' fun!!!! I want to thank JDM for comin' down for the event and making the rained out event a lot more enjoyable!!! Totaled, make sure you don't forget the sawzall next time so we can do some real weight reduction on Jim's(JDM) truck...LOL!! Well, everybody has some pretty good stories, so, I'll talk to everyone later!!!

I got one run in, a 13.58. I spun pretty bad also. They need to put more goo on the track. I think everyone was having trouble getting traction. Really enjoyed the dinner afterwards at Red Lobster too. Lot's of good talk. It was especially good to see Jim and the rest of JDM there. As always Jim spent more time with his meters analyzing and working on other trucks than he did his own vehicle. Talk about never ending customer support.
Congrats to Briank for his new record. An awesome run.
Lastly, too bad they didn't line us up against the F-Body club. I wonder why they never want to line up against us? Oh well, life goes on. See you next time. R/S Dennis

Well, a day at the track beats a day at work.......VMP...Are you listening....Get those lanes moving......Get some stick down...

The traction really sucked for the most part. I would have to believe that most were several tenths slower than usual.

First the right lane was awesome. Then a spill in the right lane....Then NO lanes were awesome. The right lane had a definite advantage in the beginning.......

After the track we had a good gathering for some grub. "We didn't get breasts, but we sure got crabs"

Someone post the Smurf Dance.... LOL....

As always, it was good to see everyone there.

How about a track rental at VMP????? Its possible........

Later

Enjoyed the meet, but I'm in total agreement on the traction problems some of us were having. My first run= 2.4 60ft. Second run was so bad I just finally shut it down to keep from wrecking. I was hoping to try the right lane on my third run before the rain messed things up. Still it's a very nice track. I'm sure traction is usually better there. Congrats go out to the guys that were hooking and got the new best times.

I too had a great time in spite of the weather.. I ran my new best time of 13.02 @105.31, and you all know I run full trim with 25lbs of cleaning supplies!!!.... 2cnd and final run was like 2fast4u's 1st run.. spun em for about 100 feet and got sideways, but never let off.. thought I was Kevin Harvick doing a celebration burnout, but still managed a 13.93 @104 with a 2.263 60ft... (What was up with that freakin cone they kept puttin down to move you out of the groove on the starting line?????????)......

Jim and everyone from JDM are fantastic.... I learned alot about my truck and what it takes to go faster..... Why did Jim have to tell me that 01's respond real well to a NOS setup?? We will see what comes of that idea.. And I learned the correct way to eat ice cream from Julie.... For all of you that talk to her on the phone and wonder if she looks as good as she sounds,, well she does, and then some.. IMHO................. see ya all at Hagerstown.. JJ
