I am having problems with my transmission downshifting. Every time I stop at a stop sign or such for just a brief second and takeoff it isn't downshifting into first. I always take off in second. But If I stop at a stop light for a little longer it will shift into first. It's only on brief stops it won't shift into first. Do you have any idea what the problem could be.

Well, it's very hard to tell without driving it or having a test stand, have the dealer look and see if you have any codes stored on the PCM, it's prolly electronic. First place I would look would be the OSS sensor but that's only a little better than a guess.
