Cool remote start kit!

Hey my friend got a remote start for his 01 L yesterday from "Pep boys" here in the cali bay area and its pretty sweet...he paid about $190 for it w/out the installation....I think they charge about $300 if you have them install it for you...Anyone know if this is a good deal? Has anyone else installed one of these kits?
Thanks...

Well I carry 3 different types of remote start kits. They range from 50 to 70 dollars. Who knows about the quality though. They are Excalibur and Omega and stuff like that. They ant-theft system bypass adapters are about 15 bucks. Retail, those prices sound pretty decent.

FRITZ-

Not sure if you are kidding or not, but cali bay is California Bay Area. Maybe you meant, where "in" cali bay? Not sure.

Later,

Dave

I'm looking at adding another relay for the AUX to roll down the windows. Any idea what I need and the $$$?

The system is a Viper ESP550 w/remote start.

Thanks,

There is a module for window roll up and or down, it cost me about $45 2 years ago and will control 2 windows, a couple diffrent wire s will control action it is a high or low 12v, meaning it will activate when it senses 12v or looses it...
