Silver 01 with 26" tires at Memphis Track
I was wondering if that was anybody on this board. I saw one tonight with aftermarket rear wheels and what appeared to be 26" tall tires. He was running 14.14.
I was there with my new 01. I did not see the silver truck run but Chuck (LTNBOLT) told me about it.
I was running but I only have 200 miles on the truck and I don't want to talk about my times either. Lets just say my 99 was much faster.

Marvin,
I wouldn't worry. It'll loosen up.
I'm wondering what happened to my extra 2 MPH on top. Strange!!

Not every track is lucky enough to be at sea level like alot of you guys! OR the cooler Temps! My 01 ran a best of 14.24 here in Oklahoma Already at a disavantage (1100 ft altitude) 90 plus degrees of temp. According the a person at the track with a weather station..factoring in the conditions altitude was 3400 ft. the night i ran the 14.24 (bone stock) I don't feel that's too bad for the conditions!

Albert,
I think a few of them got a dose of reality at the WFC in St Louis. It was just starting to warm up good and only 4 Gen 2's ran 12's out of many that had been running 12's. They would ***** now if they saw the times they would run in this heat and humidity. It looks like you've got a bit of elevation to deal with at 1100 ft. Ours is about 350 ft. I was ran a 13.57 @ 100.96 but my MPH is down anywhere from 1.5 to 2 MPH in the same conditions. I'm evaluating the NGK TR6 plugs since I found some for a $1.80 each at Carquest. It's hard to beleive it's the plugs so I'm trying to figure it out. No matter how similiar the temp and humidity seem there could always be other factors. So far the NGK's seem pretty good. It didn't seem to go as flat in throttle response as the Autolite 103's (which seemed to run just like the stock plugs). It's funny that people were calling Splitfires gimmick plugs and the NGK's have a V notch in the center electrode for 2 paths of firing. The only problem is there is only going to be one spark at a time following the least path of resistance. So far I like them and could see where people would notice some increase in throttle response. They are not as snappy as the Splits but much better than the stock plugs or Autolite 103's. I've got a nice pic to post on my site of a 103, Split & NGK side by side.
