friend of mine was just informed by a local dealer that both of his heads on his 2000 ford lightning are in need of replacing because of melted valves. Are there any recommendations for a head replacement, or any other vehicles that share the same head? thanks!

 

Any 5.4 Windsor head will work. From 99 to 03. And 04 Lightning and heritage edition will work also..
Late 03 or 04 heads have more spark plug threads in them,so there better.
Or, if he wants to spend some money on an upgrade, he could get a set of ported heads.
4.6 Romeo heads will work,but you need different valve covers for them.
He could also send them out to be rebuilt.
