Ever Ride In The Bed?
I can't believe none of you have!
My nephew and I were helping my step father move his late father's belongings. We had my father's 97 f150 loaded up with furniture and the front with the fragile articles. So we had to ride in the back. This was in the middle of January and neither of us were wearing jackets. The trip took about 2 hours and boy did it ever suck

I'm from a small town in Kansas and that was just part of growing up. I couldn't count the time's I've been in the back of a pickup at 60+MPH. I was about 8 years old most of the time and loved it. Bugs in your eyes and mouth don't really feel the best though. As I got older I relized the cab was a much better place to ride.
I have, three times. Once my friend rode back there cus we had two girls and they got the cab and he got the bed i didnt have a cover at the time. Another timeit was my other friend same scenerio and this one you guys will like. i had about 10-12 girls in the truck with me and they rode in the bed with the cover open for only a mile though. the back of my truck sat low that time.

I had read that there would be some Ls at this event and since it was only about 25 miles from our home, I decided to drop by Sat.
The first person that I met was Johnny Lightning and then his wife, Sue. Man! I was impressed. His L was a sleek, black beauty. Talking with them and watching Johnny and other L owners scortch the 1/4 mile up, I decided then and there to get a L. I bot mine on May 8, 2001.
Oh yeah, "ridin' in the bed". Does sittin' on the tailgate count? J & S were set up about 2-300 yds. from the staging lanes. It was time to line up and JL asked if I wanted to ride along---hell yes! He was trying to keep the intake 'cool' after iceing it down, so he coasted/bumped the starter most of the way. No, it wasn't 'fast', but I had a good time.
