I Did It!!!!!

Well, I was very close to getting a new L. My next ride was gonna be either a new Z06 or a new Lighting. I went down to the Chevy dealership on Friday and they gave me the best deal that I've heard of on a new Blue Z06. It should be built either late August or early September. I'm excited as hell. It'll feel good when it arrives because I can't keep up with my Lightning friends in my Impala. Stories and videos will follow in the next few months. LATER!!!!!!!!!

Ted, congrats even though you didn't get the L. I guess I'll see you sometime at the show when you get it.

GOOD DEAL?

What was the good deal?

Here in California, dealers are asking $3K over MSRP for the 2002 ZR-6

Hey Leonard. I saw your truck the other day when I was in Clarksville. I'm guessing that was your shop off of 41A. Hopefully the show will still be going on when the car arrives. I just can't wait for our phone, internet, and cable service to be activated. We just moved into our new home a few weeks ago and are still watching "snowy movies". I'm lucky if I can check my e-mail 2 days a week. We're really not supposed to use the internet here at work. Oh well, I;m on my lunch break, right? See ya!

GOTECHS- The deal was GOOD! I paid several thousand UNDER MSRP. If you know anyone that's interested, drop me a line and I'll give you the dealers contact info........

Hey, stop in some time when you pass by. BTW, Chris's Red Corvette looked lonely next to my L.

S351: You have mail........

Leonard: I'll do that. I probably will not be in Clarksville until the Z comes in, though. As for you needing NOS to keep up with me, forget about that. I'm gonna need lots of practice to control all the power. I've seen Zs running anywhere from 12.4s-14.5s. That goes to show that there are some really good and really bad drivers out there. I'll be happy with a high 12/low 13 on my first few passes when I make it out to Test 'N Tune night in Bowling Green..... See ya......

We'll have to leave the ladies behind. Hopefully I can actually pass you this time before we reach 100. Then again, I may do my famous 2-5 shift, like I did with you in the car on 65. *LMAO* The funny thing about that was we still beat those 2 idiots that were trying to race us.......

Just promise that when we race, that you'll be at least 3 lanes over when you activate the NOS. *LOL*

I would say it depends on how bad you leave me, but the truth is I'm not gonna have any cash once I get the car. You guys think I'm lying, but I've got 2 cases of Ramen noodles in the garage and have been eating them since Saturday. I'm also gonna be working overtime every week until the car comes in. I would like to put on some headers, but that'll have to wait until next year. Since they changed the air cleaner for '02, I'll have to wait and see if there's any improvement by adding an aftermarket air filter. If so, that'll be my first mod, which will also happen next year. Hell, if I can get the thing to run to its potential, I may leave it stock. Who knows..........
