Exclamation Need Help with the Lightning FAQ

Ok Guys -

I need help with the Lightning FAQ.
http://www.svtlightnings.org/faq1/faq.htm
I am about 1/2 done updating the links and some of the areas need lots of updating.

I also need you guys to tell me if I screwed up any of the NEW links. For example do 2 links in a row point to the same thread ?
Are any of the NEW links dead ?

The updated links look like this
"https://www.f150online.com/forums /showthread.php?s=&threadid=21670"

The old broken links look like this ( I havent updated them yet )
"https://www.f150online.com/f150 board/Forum36/HTML/001439.html"

Stuff that needs updating - fresh research - includes
90mm MAF's,
20 inch rims,
Modified airboxes,
2001 shocks in a 2000,
Exhaust tip options and cleaning,
Cherry Wet wax VS Zaino
New players in chio market
2001 Lights
2001 Chips
2001 chrome rims
Lower Pulleys
New MP3 headunit option
Nitto r555 Drag radial update
Removing Split bench and adding console
Where can you get Lightning Decals
Drop Shackles

If you have pictures, links, or other web sites that are applicable
post them here.

I havent seen any interest in updating this since the last thread.
If there is no interest I will stop wasting my time updating it.

Doug

Please forgive me if I'm repeating something.

Do you need the undividual links updated?

Are the thread numbers the same?

How can I help?

My time is B-A-D this week (GMAT) but after it's over and I recover from post test hangover, Speedy can dontate some time for the cause.

I'll send you an email from the appropriate addy tomorrow.

Since Zing is dead I was hoping they were hosted elsewhere.

Doug,

I will also help.

This week is also bad for me, but I can be on the case next week.

I will take 90 MM MAF. I'll hopefully be putting a new one on this weekend at the NMRA thing.

Doug,
I'll help by starting with the new players in the Chip market (& 2001 Chip), as I'll be needing one of these soon anyway... heheheh

Also, I'll check out these:

Removing Split bench and adding console
2001 chrome rims (Tom, can I add your info, or should I hold off until you get yours?)
Nitto r555 Drag radial update

Later!

Thanks for stirring up the FAQ issue. It's past due for an update.

P.S. I'm looking at the Pics to see if I can find anything. It ~almost~ looks like an old pic of Sixpipes before he got the new wheels.

Good to hear from you. You did a lot of work on the FAQ last year. Thanks for all the contributions.

I never even clicked the links. They are supposed to be dead.... I thought zing was dead. Oops.

The first one is Sixpipes', my truck was parked next to his at the time... LOL

Anyway - I will just host the pics on my site since the links work

Duh I fee like such an idiot. I wonder if Zing has just taken down the entry pages and the servers havent been turned off yet .....

Now that the index is back up....

Now that the index is back up.... I am back to working on updating the FAQ.

I am looking for help in researching issues to update the FAQ.

There are LOTS of subjects that have NOT been covered or that have changed a GREAT deal since last August when we put the list together. PLEASE take a few minutes and check out the FAQ here http://www.svtlightnings.org/faq1/faq.htm and think of subjects that you can contribute.

Just a few examples of Areas that need help:

Differences between 99,00 and 01. Both listed differences and links to threads. Here is a recent link for example https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...threadid=49165

Billet Throttle bodies - Help or NO

Lower Pullies

New Upper Pullies

15 inch drag slicks and required brake mods

It looks like the Keypad mod part numbers are diff for 2001 - Anyone have that info ?

Changes expected for 2002

Part numbers for 2001 parts to add to 00 or 99

We could use a close up of a Red 2000 like the current 99 and 01 pictures that are featured in the FAQ.

And there are LOTS of other subjects that could be added or updated.

You can just post the thread URL's here ...

Thanks in advance for your help
Doug

Over 250 people viewed this post since I made it Sticky on the 28th. Since no one has shown any interest in that time I will not bring this back up. I apologise for taking up the space on the front page.
