Should i buy this lightning?....

Hey guys, just joined, wanted to get some opinion. I have the chance to buy a 99 L with 112k miles. One owner, looks great and everything stock. Price i can get it for is 6k. Seems like a great deal, does price seem fair and cheap enough to break even if i sell it in a year?
Im just kind of scared buying a 11 year old truck with that many miles, let alone a supercharged truck. Guess im just hoping it wouldnt be a money pit.

Thanks for opinions!

Not much to go on here, so that requires the people on the forum to do the21 Question game,

If you bought it, what do you expect it to do? Daily driver, race, or combo.

Are you prepared pay for any needed maintenance, repairs or upgrades.

Have you read ALL of the FAQ's and done any research as to the pluses and minuses of Lightning ownership?

To just pop on here and ask should you buy it is going to give you uninformed opinions which are just about totally useless unless the person/s are there with you and is seeing what you see and knows what they are looking for.

Then, if we tell you, "hell yeah, buy it, you will love it" and later you don't love it, you break it or blow it up, then are we to blame?

Not trying to be too sarcastic, but you did ask an open ended question.

6k for lightning is cheap...unless it doesnt run or has a lot of problems...

either way I would buy it. you could sell the supercharger for $4000 or the entire engine for 5-6k, wheels for $1000, seats for $1000 if in good condition, body kit for $1000 at least

So you could part it out and easily make your money back, or buy it for $6k then put $2-6k into rebuilding the engine and have an awesome truck

so no matter how you look at it, I would say go for it

higher mileage 99 long block will go for nothing near 5-6k, Maybe half of that, maybe

How do you know it is stock btw? I think there's a way to check for smaller pullies since that raises boost. As much as I love modded trucks, buying them stock is usually the best imo That's surprisingly cheap though, almost fishy
