I am well aware of the difference between passing factual information vs. bashing of supporting vendors products.

Come on guys, PLEASE keep this civil and stop the antics. We need this post to stay alive, otherwise trying to talk about it in the future is going to get increasingly hard, especially w/ getting a tuner to chime in.

It is the .off topic attacks that get these type of threads closed. For the most part the "Tuners" have done a good job of keeping things on topic and avoiding flaming each other. It is the by standers who feel they have to speak for the "Tuners" who get out of control and get the threads closed

Keep in mind that I cannot read these posts from anyones perspective but mine, and respond accordingly.

Taking off hand shots at the Webmaster or the Moderator is inappropriate for this forum. If you have a question about my lack of sense of humor, or why I closed a thread, or anything else, take it off line in an email. The board is a 1 to many forum NOT a 1 to 1 forum. That is what email is for. If you have comments or questions about the site or the Moderators there is a Forum for site issues and Steves or my email is the correct place for issues with us.

I'm sorry if you thought that was pointed at you or Steve. I was just joking with Bob. I threw the (moderator boot camp) in because he should know the rules and there are no rules about using humor (as far as I know). Since he was using a little humor to ease the tension then I thought I would do the same.

I can see where you would be a little gun shy but I've never criticized your moderating. 99% of the time I agree with your reasons for closing a thread and that's a pretty good average.

 

Lightning Bob's information is correct.

 

I think my last post deserves a response.
