When I first heard of the 2nd gear thing, I tried it. I was surprised. With all the torque these things have (the L even more) it took off pretty quick but still, if the shifter was in 2nd, it stayed in 2nd.

It might work well in this type of racing, but you'd have to adjust your driving. Although with the SC it may be trickier to get the response you need, without wheel spin. After all, it's designed that way for incliment weather so you "don't" spin the wheels.

 

I raced a C5 Vette, both of us in 2nd, and it was neck and neck to shutdown around 80.
