PSP chip ROCKS

Installed a PSP 4 way chip last night, Increased power at all rpms. Could feel the extra torque just by tapping the pedal. Very smooth. Raced a GT stang at a stoplight, had him by at least 3 car lengths before the next light. This was the street calibration.

The 01 Lightning with the PSP chip is an excellent combo. Waaaay better than the 99 Lightning with Swanson chip I had before.

Now time to install the PSP pulley.

Way to go Sal! Just had to give you your props.

Mike

Smile PSP Chip rocks!!!!

Mike....I also installed the PSP 4-way chip, last Wednesday!
Ran at the local track Friday night...Best ET stock 14.24 @ 96.95
With Sal's Chip and filter kit 13.74 @ 101....Track conditions SUCKED!
Weather was about as bad...80 degrees 75% humidity B/O pressure 29.95
A racer with a meter said that with our altitude and conditions figured in...3400 ft.

Sal's Chip WORKS!!!!

Could you shoot me your email address at mwbonnville@socal.rr.com ? I'm in Huntington Beach and have a couple questions for you.

Thanks,
Mike

4-way chip...

About how long did it take to get your chip from PSP after you ordered it? I'm wondering how their street program runs with the pulley and filter. NE1 care to share?

Question

Anyone know of the top of their heads how much Sal would charge to reburn a PSP CUX2 flip-chip to support his lower pulley? I've got an email in to Sal/Spiro, just haven't heard back from them yet. Thanks!

SpoonDog_SVT -

I could be wrong (it's happened before), but it's my understanding that you don't need a re-burn for the lower pulley. It'd be nice to clear this up before I stick this chip in my truck today...

2001 L owners,

Jim@JDM ran a 12.41 with his new 2001 and his warm weather program at Norwalk FFW Sunday in 85+ degree temperatures. Beside his program, the other mods on the truuck were the JDM lower pulley, JDM filter kit, JDM oval throttle body, JDM convertor, sticky tires, JDM lift bars, LT headers and Magnaflow muffler.

Hmm, that's pretty odd. All the JDM guys said that Jim ran a 12.70 with ONLY a chip and filter on F-1s. Now he adds a JDM lower pulley, JDM throttle Body, JDM torque converter, slicks, JDM lift bars, long tube headers and exhaust, and only gets .3 for it? How can you know what to believe?

BTW, that's real classy of you to make that post in a thread where people were talking about another product.

Are you trying to start more problems, Bob? It sure looks like it with a post like that in a unrelated to JDM post.

OK, back to the topic at hand. Does anybody know if the chip needs a re-burn for a lower pulley?

Madhouse-

Per a conversation with Spiro, you DO NOT need to have the chip reburned for a lower pulley. Get ready to have one fast truck!!!

Later,

Dave

Smile the topic was psp chip rocks.....yeah!

I installed the psp 4 way on thursday and I have to agree with you that it does indeed rock.

My truck really came alive and it hits second and breaks em loose. It never would even come close to this before.

I am glad to hear that yours is kickin some butt also.

What programs did you get?

I had them burn it with these:
1. stock w/ better shifts
2. street adjusted for altitude
3. race
4. antitheft.

I love it so far and I have not tried out the race program yet.

I don't live near a track. So it might be awhile before I get a time
Paul
