Another bloody weekend.
You will be surprized how well those '01 WS6s keep up with me now. Same thing with those 2001 Cobras. And the bullit GTs are looking pretty sharp.
Since I have been in contact with our friends at JDM, I have yet to come across a Trans Am of any year other than 2001, and of any other model other than a WS6. And they have yet to pass me.
You guys remember the first, went from a 50-85 run, neck and neck.
A couple of nights ago, I get a phone call about a red WS6. I've raced this kid before, and he always finds a way out. He started by picking on my type R friend last year, after I asked for a grudge match which he declined. Long story short, he didnt want to race from a stop, his tires were worn out. On the higway we go, since he speeds up to make sure he catches the light. From a 70 roll, I was thinking, I may not come out the victor, but what the heck. We both punch it at the same time, and I start to inch away, then get some breathing room at the 2-3 shift. Then it was neck and neck to 100 (well, not quite neck and neck, he didnt gain his lost ground). Thats when I shutdown, and start heading back home.
My Type R friend was behind us trying to catch up also, he hasnt seen the WS6 guy since we put on that supercharger. Lets just say the WS6 wont be picking on that yellow car.
Fast forward to last night...
I'll be back.

Is that the kid who was suppose to have heads/cam on the car? I should be out next weekend. Ordering tires this week so I should have traction, hehehehe. We'll have to race again from a stop. Wife is out of town for 2 weeks so gonna try and get my headers fixed, that ticking is really starting to annoy me. Also have a few other mods I need to do to the car.
