here are the pics of the stock plugs out of my truck.

Take a look at the front left plug, it is kinda hard to tell but thewhite spot on the post is the end of missing metal, and in the other plugs you can see the red color

If you have NEVER run octane boost I would LOVE To know the cause of the purple color. I posted the same exact color of my plugs. I was convinced by the members here that the purple came from octane boost I was running. IF it is caused by something else WE need to figure out what caused it. It is NOT likley normal

Question

That is interesting. They do look just like you plugs Doug. Mine just had a slightly red tint on the insulator but those are purple red even on the top electrode. Notice the broken plug is a different color with a little purple red at the bottom of the insulator. Don have you been running any additives or race fuel?

hey guys.

LTNBOLT Ok you cought me,

KGM LOL maybee I'll try some Nitromethane in it next.

Lightning Boy has nothing to do with the intercooler at least on my truck, my intercooler is leak free.

I have run race fuel twice. The one with the broken electrode is the only one that was fouled. The others are just discolored.

I will tell you the truck is running very strong again with the NGK plugs.

Cool

Don,

I would keep an eye on the cylinder that the broken plug can out of. Are you running a race program? If so do a few WOT blast then let it cool and pull that plug. That's the best way to tell how you're burning. Hopefully the NGK's will hold up better than the stock plugs.
