IRS

Its a good idea..but is it really worth all that money?? what would repair cost be if there was a problem with it? I personally have abused my 9.75 rear more than mosts, and never had one problem with it. I did have to rebiuld the Diff clutch pack, but thats expected with over 600 1/4 mile runs on her. I would much rather spend that kind of money for a better braking system. I have seen too many Cobra guys swap out their IRS for something stronger...IMO

For my personal choice and for MY TRUCK.. to reduce breakage at the track, I installed a set of Cal-Tracs for much less than that.
Dont get me wrong...

Case in point. Though I could bring myself to spend that much unless I was rich. But the handling, imagine the looks on peoples face when their *great sports car* is passed on winding roads by a truck.

Oh yea, the rear ends we have in there now a pretty much bullet proof.

It would be good if you were only into road racing. I have heard alot of people with Cobras complaining about the performance of the IRS on the drag strip. Wheel hop, broken axles etc. I don't think it would be worth the money if you were going to be drag racing alot.
