D: I had a fiberglass hood put on my '91 Z281LE. It was white too. Custom shop did it and only needed the gas cap door and code. btw, it was about two yrs. old--they did a great job.

It replaced a steel factory hood so it shaved several lbs. off the 1LE's front end. Helped in better handling at Road Atlanta until it blew off, but that's a long(not funny) story.

Cool

My body shop only needed my gas lid. I have a silver truck which is one of the hardest colors to match and it came out perfect just using the gas cap to match it. Some body shops have a computer that will scan the color off of the gas lid and print out a paint formula. That is the best way to match it.

You indicated only 100 Mi. on clock? When I bought my red 2000L last year, the selling dealer pained only the hood with a perfect color match. Mine had just a few mre miles than yours. My hold is Cobra Snake eyes ram-air look, but really cowl induction from Reflections (steel) If your hood is fibreglass should it make a difference?
