Question Who's gonna run in the MM and FF lightning shootout??

Hey guys im sure that most of you have read the MM and FF issue with Lightning day in it. Well I was wondering how many of you are going to sign up and race ? Im going to im hoping to run mid 12's my truck is a 2000 Mods are as follows Airraid Air Filter Kit with 10 inch big mouth filter, Single Blade Throttle Body, Bassani Cat-Back System, PSP Lower Blower Pulley, and PSP 2 program chip street/strip. I will run at full street weight and on street tires from my mods do you think that I get mid 12's?? The last time that I ran the truck was at Lightning day and out of 4 runs the best I did was 14.03 now that was only with the Airraid with the small K and N Filter that it came with and the Bassani Cat-Back and anyone that was there knew what kind of day it was and right before me and my friend made our first runs someone blew something on the track so not best conditions but for just the airraid and full street weight on street tires I dont think that 14.03 was that bad. So whos going to race and do you guys think with my mods I can run mid 12's ??
Thanks
Vin

Where are they having it? I suppose it's probably Englishtown, NJ. That seems to be the place they usually run.

Weather and track conditions will decide. Mid 12's may be a little optimistic. In full street trim with the stock F-1's I have managed a 13.16 (4910 lbs w/driver). High 12 could be very doable with good conditions. 12.5-12.6 will be tough.

And when are they having it?

I won't start engine mods til August, if it's after that like September/October I may just have to go and run for fun in it.

Wink

12.5's might be a little tough on the stock F1's, I am not saying it can't be done just a little tough. My best is in my signature and that was on the F1's so give it a shot

Arrow MM & FF

Vin,
You know I will be there If I were to guess, I would bet that the event will be late in the fall. If they are going to do this, they probably plan on doing it right with cooler weather.

I bet we WILL see many others using Nitrous by then as well. I think that I have given many the confidence that running a DUAL POWER ADDER is very realistic, especially with the right advice.

LETS GET IT ON
