I remember Ford having a problem with the Cobra not living up to claimed HP numbers. I also know Miata had that same problem recently.
So, I am curious if we know that Ford's numbers from the factory are correct.

I had my 2001 L dynoed at tune tech with 2200 miles on it in preperation for a chip. at the time the owner (Steve) told me that the trucks were under rated from the factory. my numbers were (at the wheels ) 352.4 hp, with the drive line correction of 15% that put the crank horsepower at 414.6 I was very happy with the results. The truck was completely stock. While on the dyno I had a PCM failure and took the dealer 9 days to find the problem and fix it, but that is another story.

 

TALON took 10 lightnings to be dynoed, and there was a bone stock 2001 in that group. The results of the dyno are posted on www.svtlightnings.com
