Lightbulb GAS INFO

I am sure the "brand" of gasoline does NOT effect performance. The quality of gasoline is determined by the amount of octane...not how it is drilled or made. To determine the amount of octane you may need...check in the gas cap or in the provided manual that ford supplies to find info. on the suggested amount of octane needed. The amount of octane determines the amount of compression that can be applied to gasoline mixture before it self ignites (this will ***** up the engine) Higher compression means more powerful explosion. - so getting better octane levels than is suggested won't pay off for the extra CA$H spent. You can get a chip which can increase the compression ratio, requiring you to get better octane gasoline while improving performance.

As for brand I usually use either texaco or amoco, or any top name fuel. I stay away from the walmart type places and such.

I use only 91 or above. And I have ordered a chip, so it will have a race program and I have some of the torco accelerator to use on the race program.

As for the chip altering the compression ratio, that is impossible. The chip can alter air/fuel ratio and can alter the timing which can force the need for a higher octane rating.

Hope this helps
Paul

Mike(Superchips dist.) recommends the following:

1. Texaco

2. Amoco

3. Citgo

4. Shell or Chevron

He has told me that these companies provide the "highest energy content" fuel.

He said to stay away from Exxon because they use reformulated fuel year round.

Fuel energy content can differ from coast-to-coast.

I've never used anything less than 93 octane. Generally Marathon, at first because it is the only totally American Oil co., and now because the truck seems to like it. If not that only Mobil, Amoco, and Sunoco.

I don't have a chip in my L, I holding my breadth for the chip that would give me VARIABLE COMPRESSION, AND VALVE TIMING. Please, can you tell me the chip manufacturer that can actually INCREASE my compression ratio? Hurry, I'm turning BLUE

<I have to qualify this by saying this was on NO way meant to make fun of anyone. It's too dang late and I'm punch drunk and about to fall asleep> Good night everyone!
