Control arm bolt
Does anyone have a picture of the bolt that moves? I tried searching but looks like all the picture links are broken. If there is a site somewhere that has the picture you can just point me to that too. Thanks for any help you can offer.

JOHN: start your L up--turn the steering wheel hard right. look at the rear of the left(now exposed to view) lower control arm--see the large cadmium-coated bolt head facing you where the control arm is bolted to the frame? that's the bolt that has come loose on some 99, 00, & maybe, some 01s. mine is still tight--look for rubbed off black coating indicating movement.

Here are some pics of James 2001 and the Slot that causes the clunk

These were taken from the front. If taken from the rear you could see the slot.....

John: FYI the pictures that Doug posted the link to are of the Drivers side lower control arm bolt as viewed from under the truck on the passenger side. Looking at it from the drivers side expect to see the bolt head not the nut like in the picture. Hope that helps to clear it up.

I urned all the pics 90 CCW to make them look right. They were taken from the front of the Truck. The camera was actually in the center of the truck directly under the engine. From the front you see the Nut from the back you can see the head of the bolt and the slot. I have a pic of the back somewhere.....
