important question about lightenings
i have a question ...i just purchased a red 2000 L and it will be hear in 3 weeks ( sent it to cali for a new supercharger...boosts to 400 hp b/c it already has intake and exhaust...anyway i am 6.0 ft tall ...is this going to be a problem ...becuase someone told me that i am too tall for the truck??
please tell me no! becuase i am looking foward to destroying the competition around me in style and COMFORT!!!

that is nuts, its a truck..i have a 2000 white L and am 6'2", and still have the seat up a little, but just the way i drive.. u should have no problem, and welcome to the club, have fun....

stage 5 Kenny Brown suspension.
302 short block, twisted wedge heads with street fighter port.

Vortech 8psi huffer.
190lph felp pump with t-rex helper.
36lb injectors.
3.73 geared.
AOD trany customized by the local seeed shop, (Alternative Auto).
Battery Relocated.
2 1/2 inch. off road exhaust.
approx 400hp and always going up, not exact numbers not been on a dyno yet.
Hasnt been to strip, being built for the turns..
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go.....

Do you have any history of neck or kidney problems? Or are you at risk for a heart attack? I'd be more concerned about that... 
Especially if you get a chip...

I am 6'3" and fit fine. As was mentioned by L in Detroit I typically have the seat forward about an inch for Street driving and 2-3 inches for racing.
Before someone else mentions it Lightning has no E. Unless you want years of abuse you might consider registering with a new name. Folks in these parts take spelling seriously. Especially spelling of Lightning.
You mentioned that you had intake and exhaust work done and are getting 400 hp. Is that rear wheel HP ? With No chip ? Is the new supercharger a replacement for a leaker or are you bolting on an aftermarket blower ?

no i am putting on 2 better superchargers that my cousin built for it he is a ceo of a big cali based tunning company for l's and other trucks /cars no not replacing becuase it leaks and there is no chip

Something's strange here. Individual wonders if he will fit in a full size American made truck and he's only 6'. I fit in mine with plenty of room to spare and I'm 6'4". Maybe he bought something else and the seller just told him it was a Lightning. OR maybe he doesn't have one at all. hmmmmmm.

NO AM REALLY GETTING IT BOUGHT IT FOR 28G'S RED 2000 SENDING IT TO COUSIN IN CALI BEFORE I EVEN GET IT IN MY DRIVE WAY ...PUTTING DUAL S/C'S WILL PUT PICS ON ONCE I GET IT ...PROMISE

From what I've seen on this board, I dont think you'd be the first.
Another guy, who just so happened to be an aeronatical engineer or something, decided to put on another supercharger on his truck. He put a centrifugal charger on it. I beleive it may have even been put in a magazine or two, with the paxton nameplate.
He posted every other day about it, including pictures, and said that he just couldnt break the 500hp barrier, give or take. It has been a while, about 9 months. Then just as quickly as he came, he quit posting here.
Who was this mysterious Lightning man? And where did he go? Is he working something fierce in his cave?
