Question 4:10 gears

I'm thinking about getting a set of 4:10's for my 99 lightning and was just wondering if anyone knows a good place to order them from and about how much they cost. Also, to those that have the gears, how do you like them in the long run. I occassionally go to the track but mostly just do street driving.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Shane

My opinion:

4.10's are great for our L's if you don't run at the track. If you decide to make some runs w/ different tires you should stay w/ 18" rims or you will be hitting OD through the 1/4. I believe Nitto has 18 drag radials coming out for out truck. Otherwise I would keep the stock gears and run 16" slicks. I wouldn't waste the $500 or so to install 3.73's.

USA Gears is where I got mine. Work great for track or street, even with the 26" dia MT Et Streets.

I have 410's and with 16 inch ET Streets I hit the trap at 5500 in third. With the ET's (16 in) rearend ratio is approx 430's. 60' times generally run 1.7, 1.8, which is 1-2 tenths better than stock rearend. I can't imagine why anyone would not want 410's. Ken
