Long Time No Post___Update Time
Hey all. I'm still around as well, and also over on the SHO forums with Bill as well.
Still own my 2000 Lightning (78k miles), and also own a 2010 SHO 402a package.

Hey Bill-
Good to hear from you. You still Lobby Hobbying north of Atlanta?
I don't make it over here much anymore either, but, I got a newer Lightning and I'm looking to peddle the first one (see my thread '12 years/257,000 miles - time to sell?').
I was thinking of a SHO when an Infiniti M45 fell in my lap a couple years ago, but it's crap in snow and ice. Now I'm thinking of making a WRC replica of a MINI Countryman if BMW doesn't come up with one themselves.
Take care. Again, it was good to see your name pop up.

Hello Dave:
Great to hear from you for sure.
Well, I still "officially own" my Hobbytown USA store but I retired at age 70 on the Ist of January and my Son and DIL are now running it full time and will buy Pat and I out over time. Pat retired in 2005.
As always, it is to each his own when it comes to choice of ride, but I have to say I have never before enjoyed a combination of ballsy performance and near luxury that the SHO gives me. And.........knock on wood, other than a pesky low tire pressure warning that keeps coming on I have had absolutely zero problems in 16 months of ownership.
At the same time, and this may be a partial repost, I still miss the sound of a V-8 with headers, a CAI system and the mechanical scream of a "real blower".
The SHO, totally stock, makes pretty much no sound at all.
Try to stick around and let us know what you choose for your next vehicle.
Regards,
Bill
