damn thats alot of rust, it must have been sitting for a while. the 98 date seems fishy. You can ask for close up pictures of the bolt heads and see if it looks like the intake has been off before.

found an 03 Harley davidson motor in arizona with 59k on it be here on 8-3.

 

another question on the harness, the 97 has coil packs 03 is COP when i plug the L harness into my pcm do i just tell the tuner that i am now running COP and he can make it work or do i need to run the coil packs with my pcm? motor delayed arrghh!
