Smile 1999 Bolt Back in Business

Hi Guys, My Bolt lost its alternator 2 years ago. Money issues and bad luck, it sat for two years in the garage. I finally figured out how to replace the alternator recently. I then had 2 bad coils, so we changed all 8 coils and the spark plugs as well. Runs good now. In 2005 I had a older Superchip and ran an honest 13.201 at the strip. Recenly I've made some "cheap" mods, white stripes on Red, AR Torg-Thruster 20" wheels, (not so cheap) a few decals, I painted the steering wheel center section dark gray and did some coating on the bed, center section (not walls) The plan is to show the '99 in a local Saturday car show, I'll post a few pics soon and take the heat or praise.
I really like the Bolt and so far I don't think I've cheesed it up with too many mods. I have the tool, still trying to get the radio out and see if we can chrome plate the bezel or something. Has anyone put in that chrome dash bezel you can find on e-bay ? ( around the speedometer part) Any way its good to be back on F150online and look see what others are doing in 2009. Back in 1999 few folks really believed a Truck could run low 13s and even get to 12s pretty cheaply. They called us liars. LockportDon

Ok sure with gas prices etc. But all the Lightnings didn't disappear..they must be sitting somewhere, maybe they have all been moded out to the max :^) Pretty babies sitting in a garage somewhere. Maybe a younger generation will rediscover the Legend.
A Lightning was in the Fast and The Furious as a parts delivery truck, ironically it could out run the star cars with a few mods.
