Possible mods.... Safe?
I bought my 03 L about two months ago with 34,000 miles on it and was/is completely stock. I swung by a tuner here in Oklahoma and asked him about a chip and/or his recomendations on what to do. Here is what he said to do..
-Install 4#crank pulley
-XCAL3 programmer
-custom tune 2003 lightning (he said he writes his own program)
-K&N air Filter
-Replace spark plugs, fuel filter, clean MAF, Throttle body
-TR6IX spark plugs
My concern was that this is my daily driver and I do drive quite a bit (140 miles a day at the moment but not on a consistent bases) and wanted to make sure that this would not be rough on the engine or anything else for that matter. He said it wouldn't be when tuned right which I do believe him but thought I would ask some fellow L owners for thier advice on the mod.
Also I am going to get some exhaust this week and am leaning toward the bassani SS catback and the bassani SS catted midpipe, tell me what you think.....

A safe and tried combo. Are you going with the cold air intake or keeping the stock air box with the k&n filter?
I'm running 6 pound lower with cams and it is an easy driver, Almost dailly to work there for a while.
enjoy your lightning...
