3.4 Monster inlet initial test results inside!!!

Two of my customers were in Florida racing yesterday.

Banks with his 3.4 Monster inlet combination is running only 11* of timing on a starter tune with 11.3 A/F's and 16lbs of boost, his first run I believe was a mid 11 but here is what impresses me the most, his IAT2's never got above 100 during the run and its over 80* there today. This is a copy of his log, its long and the full run so excuse the size;

I have sent him an updated tune with more timing and better shift points and pressures so I'm sure his times will improve. The other truck is running almost the same times at the same boost as well with his 2.3 Whipple combination and also just got an updated tune from me as well. More results to come and I expect even at higher boost levels that the lower IAT2's will also be seen.

JJ

**Edit**
It would not allow me to post the entire log, what you see is the last 2-3 seconds of the 1/4 mile run.

cool, but what does the 1.999xx represent? I know it's load but does that number translate to something?

It means 1.9999 times the size of the engine is what it's pulling in air wise.

1.999x5.4 = 8.3l worth of air per rev as opposed to 5.4l

No only one of the trucks racing had the Monster inlet on it, the other truck has one of our complete built Longblocks with some very special pistons running the 2.3 Whipple.

More test results.

20+lbs of boost with 75* ambient temps.... 120 IAT2 at WOT and dropping immediatly.

Its working great and really waking up this 3.4 combination.
