Curious if I can track down my "99 Lightning

I am not sure if this will work, but just for fun, I thought I would try to find out where my Lightning ended up.

The VIN is 2FTZF0731XCA74360.

I followed the truck through two owners after I owned it and then lost track of it.

Well, if we're dragging up old timers' trucks, I'd be interested to find out where mine landed. If you've got a black '99 with some insane 2-piece rotors, a panhard bar, and lumpy cams, that might be mine.

How are things for you Bill?

Hi Nathan:

Doing fine, still own my HobbyTown USA store, trying to sell it to my son and daughter in law.

Current rides are a Merc Mountaineer, Pat's, and my now evergreen '92 Town Car.

Future ride may be one of the Ford Euro Transit Van vehicles if I can get it specced the way I want it. Seems Ford will not offer the turbo diesel version that is available in Europe but I will be talking to Mike Troyer to see if we can cobble up a chipped, filtered, exhausted setup like I had on my Bolt and my Lincoln Blackwood if I decide to get one.

Hi Bill,

If you want I can run an Oasis report on that VIN for you and find out where its been, atleast if its been to Ford dealers since you have owned it. Have you tried a carfax report on the VIN? It should show where it was last registered.

I wish I could help out more Bill but it went from Me to Carmax and I don't know where after that.

Hi JJ and Darin.

Long time no hear, good to see you two are still around.

If you could run an Oasis that would be great, I don't want to pay $30 to Carfax, don't want to know all that bad.

Darin, I followed it to Carmax and they gave me a name but I never followed up on it and then lost the name.

The way the economy, the car and truck industry and gas prices are going, I guess we will never see the likes of a Lightning or even an SC Harley ever again. A pity, that but it should sure keep up the resale values of such trucks that are kept in good knick.
