I have a picture of a factory painted yellow lightning from 2000 that was a spyshot outside the windsor factory. To my knowledge, this was the ONLY one.

Anyone have any more info. I bet if this is infact true, a factory yellow lightning would be of much value to an enthusiest.

Just going by what that salesman at Gwinnett Place Ford told me about the 2 yellow Lightnings he had on the lot. I haven't personally witnessed any others in the 6 years I've been involved in Lightnings except in magazines and assume they were a repaint. IDK

Here is one that was in MM&FF mag a few years ago.

I agree 100%.

IF...I repeat... IF, there were ever another factory yellow L, (other than the ONE mentioned above), we would surely know about it.

There was never a yellow Lightning, and there was never an option to order a yellow Lightning -- unless maybe your last name was Ford or Roush.

yellow lighting

here is the picture i was talking about. There was a story about it years back. True or not, I don't know. Supposably it was taken outside one of the ford plants when speculation that one of the colors for 2000 was going to be yellow. Maybe it was 01.

Looks like a lightning to me. Body affects, wheels, and side exhaust.

Rear slider kinda looks like it's not a slider and not third brake light, but it's dark.

[QUOTE=Neal;3506325]HI!... You sure it's a LIGHTNING? It might be a BOSS 5.4 F-150. Basically a regular F-150 with butt ugle ground effects kit on it.

Ha! Ha! Ha! That's cold.

Now you know what it's like to be a fat girl hanging with hot chicks at the club.

Guys - this is definitely a Lightning (look at the ground effects and the exhaust cutout). This was a test truck that was flying around Dearborn back in 2000 (notice the mustang behind it with the camo wrap all over it). We discussed this truck on this forum way back then and it was just that - a test truck. No yellow Lightnings got out - they all made it to the crusher. If you see a yellow one today, it didn't start life as yellow and is a re-paint.
