I sold my '01 Lightning back back in 2004. I have a friend that is seriously thinking about selling his '02 True Blue that has less than 16,000 miles on it.
Very well taken care of, and I helped him install the mods on it ( exact same set up I had, and runs same ET's) when I still had mine and was traveling to Troyer's every weekend, so I know almost everything about this vehicle.
Heres the problem, I don't know what its worth to make him an offer.
Any input would help.
I would more than likely sell my '04 Roush charged Supercrew if I were to buy it, so its a pretty big decision to make.
Any one care to offer what they think the Lightning is worth?

 

Well, TB is a one year only color and I think the most rare color IIRC...and, my personal favorite! With only 16k miles it definately has low miles. Plus, you know the truck which is worth allot right there! Personally, I would probably pay up to $20k for it if I really wanted it. So, anything under 20 I would say is a fair price. Good Luck!

 

As true blue is the rarest color and the mileage is perfect the market for selling these things is ****e. I think anything from 15-20 is fair. Just because its worth nothing now doesnt mean that wont change on down the line. If you were to buy a collectors L this would be the one. Good luck

Depends on how much $$$ you have and want to spend on it or how bad you want it.
Sounds like a great truck!! If I had the money I would buy it.

Hey Mickey. My '01 was silver also.
I am going to have to pass on this one as timing is everything and now is not the time for me unfortunately.
I know Cub Cadet's truck almost as well as he does. We had many good nights at the local drag strips when I still had mine.
Whoever gets this vehicle is getting a great truck !!!
